Once Upon a Time (in 2012)...

The Midlands Local Food Collaborative (MLFC) was established in 2012 as a working committee with three founding members: USDA-NRCS, Richland Soil & Water Conservation District (RSWCD), and Sustainable Midlands. Originally formed to support the Organic Richland initiative launched by USDA-NRCS and RSWCD, MLFC has since evolved into a larger community organization. It now includes 14 organizations and individuals, with continued growth on the horizon.
